My home gym makeover is DONE (and here’s everything I used)

Hello Reader,

I finally gave our garage a makeover — and turned it into a home gym!

This has been on my wishlist for ages. Between juggling work, kids, and everyday chaos, having a space that’s just mine to move, lift, and reset was a game-changer.

✨ I kept it simple, functional, and realistic — nothing fancy, just gear that fits my routine and makes it easy to show up for myself...but I made it pretty but on a budget! That wall? It's wallpaper! $26 CAD!

➡️ Check out my Amazon list — I’ve linked everything I used for the makeover, including the wallpaper!

I've since added a squat rack, that I also love. Here's what it looks like in my space:

Some of my favorite finds:

- Adjustable dumbbells (I've had the Bowflex Select techs since 2010 - they're fantastic).
- Wallpaper
- Budget cable attachment options.
- Bands for my assisted pull ups.

All are linked in my Amazon store front. The pegboard is from Ikea and the black whiteboard, but I found similar options on the storefront.

If you’re thinking about building your own space — or just upgrading a corner of your garage or basement — this setup is doable, flexible, and family-friendly.

Let me know what you think of the space!

– Randa 💛

Quick Tip for You

Use vertical storage hooks and wall-mounted racks to keep gear off the floor — especially if you're working with a smaller space like I was.

Hello Reader, This is your friendly PSA from someone who didn’t expect to be saying this at 36: I’m in perimenopause. After a year of hell, I finally went to an OB's office and got the help (and validation) I needed. I thought I was "just tired". Or stressed. Or the usual “busy life + mom brain” equation. But things started to feel...off. And not just in a “skip coffee” kind of way. More like: Absolutely terrible sleep Mood swings that hit out of nowhere Weight that suddenly won’t budge and...
